and of New Methods in Material Science
Our Laboratory operates under joint direction of the Astrakhan State University and of the Institution of Solid-State Physics (affiliate of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
Principal directions in our activities:
-
Creation and research of new classes of functional materials (including nanocrystalline materials);
-
Research and development of forward-looking technological processes to obtain materials for electronic equipment;
-
Research of self-organization phenomena in different environments;
-
Development of nanometrological methods and methods of Nanostructures Quantum Material Science;
-
Modeling interactions and collective phenomena in magnetic materials and in nanostructures.
We also undertake joint researches of metal-carbon nanocomposites (A), of manganites (B), and of nanotubes (C). We use methods of X-ray structure analysis, of transmission and focused-beam electronic microscopy (A and C), methods of scanning tunnel and atomic-force microscopy (B), of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, magnetooptics, ferromagnetic resonance, etc.
The Laboratory is headed by D.Sc. in Mathematics & Physics, Full Professor Vladimir Kornilyevich Karpasyuk.
